About Me

I am Jessica King a passionate graphic designer, but I guess the best way to start is at the beginning. I am one of the few fortunate people who have found their path in life, to be filled with satisfaction that every day I am doing what I have always dreamed of doing. My dream has never changed and I revel in the thought that everyday something new and exciting can be developed, created and made visual. I don’t see what I do as a job but rather as an adventure and I am living my life-long dream. I have always been passionate about design. Being a graphic designer gives me the chance to fulfil that passion. I do still however take my work seriously and pride myself in the fact that I do all projects from brief to finished art, ensuring each task is neatly packaged and press ready.

\\ my process

When it comes to starting a new project, I approach each with their own unique process, as each project is different and requires creative thinking. This can range from surfing the web and popular web showcases, to going for a walk with my camera, spending time with my children, reading through design publications or just spending time with a pad and paper just doodling and brainstorming.

Before I can deliver an accurate project overview / design, one must get a client to properly articulate their vision for their project and make sure that we both have the same thoughts for the outcome. This is why I believe communication to be a huge key in any project or role I take on. I find that constant communication not only results in a successful project, but increases overall client satisfaction.

Each project is designed from the ground up, ensuring overall consistency. There is no room for error. From that point all the visual and aesthetic work is taken care of before being put together in the relevant software. Its then back to client for feedback. Once approval on design has been made we take the next step typesetting the project and ensuring the file is print ready or doing the coding for websites.
